Al-Hadi Center Launches First Comprehensive Clinic for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Patients
Al-Hadi Center for Myopathy and Neuropathy has launched the first specialized clinic for patients with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). The clinic aims to provide precise and comprehensive patient follow-up under one roof.
The clinic's services included assessing muscle strength and determining the disease stage, in addition to evaluating respiratory function and heart muscle. It also involved monitoring psychological aspects and nutrition, along with joint examination to prevent future stiffness.
The physical therapy team provided guidance for maintaining flexibility and reducing contractions, while the medication treatment plan was reviewed, discussing drug complications and ways to avoid them.
Through this clinic, Al-Hadi Center seeks to provide integrated care for Duchenne patients, combining diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation into a single system.
